All equipment must be talking with each other for good usage of digital says Zied Ghazouani, Clariant

Zied Ghazouani, Head of Sales Eastern Hemisphere BL Oil, BU Oil and Mining Services, Clariant talks to Arun Shankar, Editor GEC Media Group about the usage of digital and innovation in Clariant, which is now part of its growth strategy. Digital is being used in the labs and onsite for the right formulation for customers. SAP ERP is being used in production, operations and delivery. During the pandemic, SAP ERP helped Clariant meet its contractual obligations to deliver to customers. In the past the oil and gas industry was quite conservative in adopting digital innovation. Digital if it is used very well brings a full range of additional efficiencies, throughput, efficiency. Digital efficiency is now linked to environmental impact and move to digital is also a move to sustainability. In order to have good usage of digital in oil and gas operations all equipment must be talking with each other.

ADIPEC 2022 has generated an estimated $8.2 billion in business for exhibiting companies. ADIPEC 2022 saw a record global attendance of more than 160,000 attendees from 164 countries, with 41 per cent coming from abroad. The UAE saw an estimated value of $200 million brought in through sectors that supported the four-day event, including tourism and hospitality.
