GCF Unite WebSummit and Appian stage Intelligent Automation virtual conference

Global CIO Forum’s GCF Unite WebSummit and Appian successfully completed a regional virtual conference on the subject of Intelligent Automation using Low Code and AI. The virtual conference was completed on 06 April and dealt extensively on how complex business processes can be automated using a range of graphically intuitive, low code tools. Low-code platforms make enterprise application development fast and simple. But not all low-code offerings are the same. Some focus solely on improving developer productivity, others focus on citizen development for simple use cases.

In these highly challenging times, all businesses would like to automate their remote processes and achieve efficiency in the fastest time and lowest cost. If business can take the lead so much the better to automate their complex workflows at the speed of low-code. Appian automation includes the integration of Robotic Process Automation, Business Process Management, Case Management, Artificial Intelligence and Decision Rules.

The GCF Apian Intelligent Automation virtual conference was attended by 50+ senior decision makers including CIOs, IT Directors and IT Heads from government, BFSI, healthcare, retail, education, hospitality and manufacturing sector.

The lead introduction and overview of intelligent automation was conducted by Mohammad Abusinnah, Account Executive, Middle East at Appian. Mohammad has 20 years of experience in digital automation, and joined Appian in 2009. He has a passion for technology and enjoys being an advisor on full-stack automation and solving complex problems.

The hands-on demonstration of the low code, graphically intuitive tools was conducted by Siter Ali and Sultan Kilani from Appian. They were able to demonstrate how data and images from documents could be extracted through tools as part of an automated process, thereby reducing the need for human intervention.

Siter Ali is Area Vice President EMEA and APAC, Solutions Consulting at Appian. He has been with Appian since 2015, starting as Senior Solutions Consultant and becoming Area Vice President in 2018. He has worked in IT for over 20 years. He is able to provide technical knowledge and input into business cases to demonstrate return on investment to the customer. He has an MSc in Advanced Computing and BSc in Science and Computing.

Sultan Kilani is Solutions Consultant-Middle East. He has over 14 years of experience in the IT Industry, and is helping organisations achieve their business strategies and technology objectives with innovative solutions.
