Jumbo Electronics investing AED10 million in Al Maryah Island premium retail store

Jumbo Electronics launches flagship store at The Galleria Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi

Officials from Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, inaugurated a new branch of Jumbo Electronics, at The Galleria Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi. Jumbo has invested more than AED10 million in a premium retail store, a regional office, warehouse facilities and a service centre in Abu Dhabi that will together deliver the best customer experience in the Emirate.

The 20,000 sqft fully-digital store, which is the newest technology destination in Abu Dhabi, was officially inaugurated by HE Ghanem Al Fandi Al Mazroui, Executive Director of the Department of International Economic Relations, Abu Dhabi DED and Ali Fahad Al Nuaimi, Director of Commercial Relations, Abu Dhabi DED, in the presence of Jumbo Group’s and The Galleria Mall’s leadership team. This is Jumbo’s 15th retail store in the UAE and the 6th in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Following the inauguration, HE Al Mazroui emphasised the DED’s desire to attract more investments in the capital’s business and retail sectors by providing the necessary support to stimulate investors to expand in the Emirate. He stated that DED’s Abu Dhabi Business Centre has launched a series of initiatives to support businesses in the capital as well as facilitate all transactions in relation to business licensing services such as immediate license, dual license, technological license and automatic renewal of licenses.

These licenses come within the framework of the Abu Dhabi Accelerated Development Programme Ghadan 21 to enhance the competitiveness of doing business in the Emirate.

HE Al Mazroui also added that Abu Dhabi is gaining the confidence of regional and international companies and Jumbo Electronics’ expansion reflects the Emirate’s position to support and stimulate the business sector, especially the technology sector. The government also aims to create an effective partnership with the private sector to drive the sustainable economic development of the Emirate.

Technology enthusiasts can experience the latest premium consumer electronics and gadgets including large screen TVs, such as the Sony 98-inch 8K TV and Dyson’s innovative range of lifestyle products. There will be dedicated experiential zones featuring the latest gaming devices, mobile phones, and lifestyle products like personal audio devices and smart appliances. The store comes equipped with digital price tags and LED screens to add to the customer experience.

The store also has a curated range of Smart Home products along with installation and consultation services offered by the Jumbo Unwired team. They would offer end-to-end services in-store and at the customer’s home, making it a one-stop-shop for all things related to smart home technology.

Customers can experience and enjoy technology through weekly in-store events across categories like fitness, photography, beauty and gaming held in collaboration with premium technology brands like Sony, Canon, Dyson, Cloud Nine, PlayStation among others. They can also try out and learn more about the products from the experts present on site.

A new 2100 sqft regional office near Electra Park, Abu Dhabi was also opened recently, with a dedicated team catering to large enterprise customers as well as customers of Jumbo’s distribution division in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The new 3,000 sqft warehouse will ensure that retail and B2B customers in Abu Dhabi get most of their orders delivered within 24 hours. Jumbo has also opened a new 5,000 sqft state-of-the-art service centre to handle repairs for mobiles, laptops, appliances, TVs and consumer electronics. This is an authorised service centre for over 30 brands and will provide a local hub for repairs and after-sales support, offering quicker turnaround times for customers.
