Metapolis, with Metaverse as a Service, establishes international headquarters in Dubai

Leading metaverse builder Metapolis

Metapolis, the world’s first metaverse-as-a-service platform, has established its international headquarters in Dubai. The company, currently making waves for having the most advanced metaverse-related Web3 technology capabilities, says the move marks a significant milestone for the business and places the UAE at the core of its global expansion plans.

Unveiled in Miami in April this year, Metapolis is fast gaining a reputation for pioneering the evolution of the next Internet. The blockchain-agnostic platform is venture-backed by Zilliqa and is a founding member of the Metaverse Standards Forum. The company says its business model is based on becoming the layer and standard on which all other metaverses are built.

Metapolis’ MaaS proposition is geared for mass adoption and the easy onboarding of Web2 and Web3 projects seeking a Metaverse presence, similar to what Shopify did for e-commerce stores. The Metapolis platform is open to all clients from different industries wanting to build their own virtual world as they desire. Conceptually rich and custom-created digital ‘real estate’ can be designed as part of the MaaS business model which includes cities, domes and land parcels that can house brands, individuals, concepts, gaming, e-stores, real estate or other digital experiences.

Mohan Kuldeep Ponnada, Co-Founder and CEO at Metapolis explains: “Metapolis will do for metaverse adoption what Shopify did for ecommerce. Just like you wouldn’t expect to change browsers to view a website, Metapolis provides the deep tech, unparalleled interoperability, accessibility and creator apps needed to create unique metaverse experiences.”

Metapolis’ vision of becoming the metaverse for all is an ambition matched by Dubai’s goal to be a global metaverse hub. Under the Dubai Metaverse Strategy, the emirate plans to boost the contribution of the metaverse economy to $4 billion by 2030.

“By building out a thriving metaverse ecosystem, Dubai will help accelerate innovation for this new digital era. Its geographical advantage and pro-business environment make it the perfect physical location for Metapolis’ international operations. We love the city’s metaverse vision, its energy and entrepreneurial potential and are excited about the possibilities for co-innovation,” added Kuldeep Ponnada.

Accessed via web, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), Metapolis brings a new extended reality (XR)-powered layer of engagement into our lives, and with that comes innumerable benefits for brands, businesses and individual users.

“What we’re really delivering here is the next frontier of human experience. We’re bridging the gap between physical and digital worlds through immersive experiences, always-on engagement, superior Web3 tech, and digital commerce to create hyper-connected virtual ecosystems. Beyond improving access to essential services like healthcare, education and government departments, Metapolis will transform lives through new ways of interacting with each other. We are much more than a gamified virtual world – we are the next internet built around engagement,” says Sandra Helou, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Metapolis.

Those new engagement layers include but are not limited to NFTs, ecommerce, incentivization models (like play-to-earn), digital mannequins and advertising. Metapolis’ unmatched digital infrastructure was built to be accessible to all and provides a variety of functionalities that are easy to use for both those within and outside the crypto industry. A special focus has been placed on intuitive onboarding for non-crypto natives. Metapolis can be accessed through personalized handles, such as social media platforms, and can integrate with social media, mobile, and web.

The platform provider has already built multiple cities for clients, including top esports companies Ninjas in Pyjamas, RRQ and Mad Lions. Luxury and creator focused-brands are also among the early adopters alpha testing the Metapolis platform.

With offices in Singapore, India and now its international office in Dubai, Metapolis is positioning itself for rapid global scaling and has the wider GCC, US and UK markets in its sights.

“We have an exciting metaverse product roadmap that we will launch imminently and some fantastic partnerships that really show how brands are able to build real world utility into their metaverse experiences with robust digital economies,” added Helou.
