More women going into tech

Eylem Aydin Oruc, Unstructured Data Solutions, Sales Director MERAT, Dell Technologies.

With research showing that diverse teams perform better and are more innovative, leaders across industries are recognizing that a diverse workforce is, as advocates have long suggested, good for business. As the tech industry seeks to shape the future, it is aiming to be more representative of that future, and we are seeing more women go into careers in tech. We believe that in empowering women to not only be leaders, but founders, we drive change and allow them to flourish as leaders in the business.

My dream work environment and work culture is one where I am supported and motivated to achieve my highest potential. I have been lucky enough to be a part of Dell. By 2030, we are aiming for 50% of our global workforce and 40% of our global people leaders to be women.

Being able to make a positive impact for my team, peers, and customers is something that is very motivating for me. Variety in day-to-day activities is also one of the main reasons sales was an exciting path for me. I really like engaging with people and working on solutions to address customers’ needs.

In sales, you are measured with numbers and growth, and this can be quite challenging at times. We have had amazing transformational projects and I am really happy to be a part of these projects with my team and address the challenges head on.
