Diversity lagging in cyber-Africa

Housna Hamadet, Regional Manager Africa, Infoblox.

No company can achieve innovation without diversity. The awareness has increased significantly during the past 10 years in many public and private organisations to promote women based on merit. However, in the cybersecurity and networking space, we still see very limited number of women in leadership positions in Africa.

The good news is that we see more women taking ministerial positions in digital economy, leadership roles in multinationals and launching start-ups across the continent, which will surely help bridge the gap and encourage women to choose the technology path.

Housna is responsible for the company’s strategy, aligning sales, technical, channel and marketing teams. Her role is to develop a closer relationship with customers in North, West, East and Southern Africa, while providing them with solutions from Infoblox to manage their digital and cloud transformation.

Taking part in raising awareness and unleashing the full potential of Africa to innovate and grow is a commitment and I cherish every moment I spend doing it.

There is nothing more rewarding than helping customers protect their data, while being able to speed up their innovation in the digital space.

Cyber-attacks are growing in complexity. Being the first line of defence for my customers is what makes it an exciting challenge.
